1. Identity Verification

  • All users must verify identity using government ID plus selfie through ID Analyzer or Apple Wallet ID.
  • Duplicate accounts are prevented using hashed identity checks.

2. Content Moderation

  • Ribbit uses automated detection, user reports, and human moderators.
  • Content is reviewed for violations of the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

3. Enforcement Actions

  • Content removal.
  • Reduced reach.
  • Temporary suspension.
  • Permanent ban.
  • IP or device bans.

4. Zero-Tolerance Offenses

  • Child sexual exploitation.
  • Terrorism.
  • Severe violent threats.
  • Large-scale fraud.

5. Reporting System

  • Users can report posts, messages, profiles, and ads.
  • Reports are reviewed by moderators.

6. Appeals

  • Users may appeal moderation actions through in-app support or legal@ribbit.app.

7. Rewards Abuse Prevention

  • Server-side point validation.
  • Rate limiting.

  • Transaction audits.

8. Security Controls

  • End-to-end encrypted messages.
  • Encrypted phone numbers.
  • App Check.

Ribbit may periodically publish high-level statistics about reports received, enforcement actions, and account bans.
